Lessons Q&A

Q: How old do you have to be for stained glass lessons? Can my kids join?
A: Students should be at least 13 years old.

Q: How many hours would it take to complete a small student project?
A: Depending on the complexity of the design, it could take between 2 and 8 hours to complete a small student project. You are welcome to spread this out over multiple lessons.

Q: Can I purchase supplies from you and complete my project at home after the first lesson?
A: I do offer some but not all glass for sale to students who wish to complete their project at home. Prices range from $12 to $20 per square foot. I do not sell solder, copper foil, tools, or other supplies at this time.

Q: Is it dangerous?
A: Creating stained glass is relatively safe. It is possible to get small cuts if the glass is not handled with care and it is possible to get small burns from the soldering iron if not used correctly.
